  How can I get from McCarthy to Kennicott?IMG_20150812_162636993 We provide transportation to and from the footbridge upon arrival and departure. Bicycles are provided to each cabin for the duration of your stay. You may also take the Wrangell Mountain Shuttle between McCarthy and Kennicott for $5 per person each way.
What time is Check In and Check Out? Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 11am.
Do you get internet at Blackburn Cabins? WiFi is not available in the cabins. However, there is a hot-spot in McCarthy and Kennicott provided by Copper Valley Telephone.
What kind of activities are there to do in the area? McCarthy and Kennicott are known for the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Kennecott Historic Mines. But we also have a variety of outdoor activities available: backpacking, flight-seeing, glacier hiking and ice climbing, mountain biking, whitewater river rafting, and wilderness/alpine hiking. We now offer guided glacier hikes and hikes to the mines!  There are also several local companies in McCarthy and Kennicott that offer guided activities. Feel free to ask us about what to do in the area. We can steer you in the right direction.
Is there a store in the area? There is a general store in McCarthy for basics.
Can I send mail? There are no post offices in McCarthy or Kennicott. The mail is flown in twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, from the post office in Glennallen.
